TIMELY ACCESS TO CARE STANDARDS
The Department of Managed Health Care established the “Timely Access Regulation”) effective January 17, 2010.The purpose of the Timely Access Regulation, Rule 1300.67.2.2, is to fully implement AB 2179 (Stats 2002) which enacted Health and Safety Code section 1367.03. Section 1367.03 directed the Department to adopt regulations to ensure enrollees access to necessary health care services in a timely manner.

The Holman Group conducts ongoing clinical outcomes studies concomitant with our satisfaction survey to ensure program effectiveness and quality of services. Within two weeks of a member’s intake phone call, initiating a request for services, we mail out a questionnaire. This brief assessment includes a rapid appraisal of general wellbeing, depression, anxiety, and chemical dependence risk. Four months after receiving our member’s Baseline responses, we mail a second survey—the Follow-up survey.
