Intuition V
The first thing to do is become quiet or centered to “silence the noise and active mind”. As the noise recedes, the intuitive mind is given the opportunity to emerge and be heard. Start the centering process with the desired state “My intuitive mind will lead me to the right answer”. Become calm enough to start the intuitive problem solving (IPS) and find an enlightened answer. You will discover several techniques for centering or quieting the mind so the IPS process can begin. The optimal conditions for awakening your intuition occurs when you are centered or still.
AWAKEN INTUITION AWAY FROM A TENSE, NOISY WORLD
TURMOIL INTERFERES WILL INTUITIVE HUNCHES
TOO MUCH STRESS INTERFERES WITH INTUITION
BECOME AWARE OF GUT FEELINGS WHNE ENGULFING WORDS ARE QUIETED
YOU WILL AWAKEN YOUR INTUITION WHEN YOU ARE STILL, CENTERED, AND RECEPTIVE
Find out whether becoming still is easy or difficult for you. Now, let’s see how long you can be still.
Exercise
Can you be still?
Sit still for 5 minutes. Close your eyes and follow your breath, notice that when you inhale your breathe feels COOL and as you exhale your breath feels WARMER than when you inhale. Use your AWARENESS to follow your breath, NOTICE the cool and then warm. NOTICE only without saying COOL and WARM internally. JUST notice COOL and WARM. If you notice your mind wandering to something other than COOL and WARM, return to COOL and WARM. You can look at a clock before you start and then check the time when you sense 5 minutes have elapsed. Evaluate your present ability to be “still” and your ability to return to stillness (cool/warm) from wandering thoughts:
Did any thoughts go through your mind? If so, did you return to COOL / WARM? How did the returning to COOL / WARM feel?

This exercise will help you learn to be still, allowing you to become more relaxed, centered and intuitive.. Keep this in mind as you progress. Centering will become easier as you practice.
You must learn to quiet your logical mind so your intuitive mind can emerge. To achieve maximum receptivity, you want to become as still as possible, disengaging from “the outer sensory world” and becoming attuned to your inner intuitive mind. You actually alter your awareness as you lowering your brainwave frequency.
Lowering Your Brainwaves Will Help You Become Still
During your normal activities, your brain functions are at the beta level, which is measured at 13-25 cycles per second. In beta, you are fully alert and conscious of logical and analytical input that comes to you through your six senses: VAK (OGP).
As you begin to enter the alpha level, your brainwaves fall to 8-12 cycles per second. Your inner awareness actually expands as you begin accessing the 90% of your mind that is submerged in the subconscious. Intuitive receptivity is high at the alpha level. You can identify the alpha level, as that “drifty” feeling you experience just as you are falling asleep at night and the same feeling you often sense on awakening in the morning. Now, when you begin drifting off into a daydream, you will know you are entering the alpha level.
The brainwaves slow to a 5-7 cycles per second at the theta level. This occurs during sleep and at a very deep level of meditation or hypnosis. Intuitive receptivity is also strong at the theta level. BEGIN NOW!!!
At the delta level, the brainwaves are slowed to 1-4 cycles per second. Delta level occurs for most during deep or full sleep. Some have learned to use the delta level in the FLOW.

Can you recall how you felt falling asleep last night? What sensations did you feel? What thoughts were present in your mind?

At what point during the day do you feel drowsy, distracted, and inattentive? During these unfocused moments your mind is shifting from the logical mind to your intuitive mind. Become aware of these times by writing them down and begin to honor the intuitive input coming into your awareness as you naturally access your intuitive mind.

Create alpha log by observing the onset of the alpha level. Keep a record of your unfocused moments for a week. How often do you find yourself taking an intuitive break? If this occurs about every hour and a half, you are validating research that shows we shift into this intuitive mode every 90 minutes.
